Month of Mary? I wish I had known of this earlier in November, but SoulBounce.com celebrated the 15 yr anniversary of Mary J. Blige’s My Life being released. And her new album is slated to drop this week (the same week My Life was released). Phonte (of Little Brother) did a great article here about why MEN love Mary & her My Life album. I didn’t discover how great My Life was until I was older. Mary was the bomb back then. She’s good now, but like they said, the rawness is those emotions was undeniable. Check it.

1. Models + High End Fashion Brands? <<— UM!! What?? talk about branding! I felt like I was going to get in trouble for seeing these NUDE models! But this is nudity without raunchy. Oh, and if that is the site owner in the header graphic .. I need more of that in my life.
I don’t really remember her in anything before Drumline, and honestly, she didn’t register on my fashion radar then. but she stayed around. She was in the Terminal with Tom Hanks, Guess Who with Bernie Mac, Pirates of the Carribean w/ my boo Johnny Depp, Vantage Point, and (among other things) most recently Star Trek.She’s said that she’s sometimes mistaken for Thandie Netwon. Besides them both being thin, I don’t see the resemblence.
I think she is adorable, and of course I would since she’s a Jersey girl! She doesnt’ look a day over 25, can you believe she was born in ‘78?

Shop for a Better World, is a partnership between Fair Winds Trading, Women of Rwanda and Macys. I know of them because a few years ago I bought y grandmother one of thier lovely hand-woven bowls for Christmas. These bowls are a lovely piece for a coffee table. I figured she would enjoy it since she has so much crap stuff on her coffee table. I purchased a Unity bowl for her, which is unfortunately not available on the Macy’s website. They do have some others that are still going to make some wonderful accent pieces in someone’s home. Pictured are the “True Unity”, “Thousand Hills”, and the “New Africa” bowls.

I got these pics last week, but I wanted to save them for Fashion Friday. Plus I wanted to pay homage to my new Nars Stylo, I freaking LOVE IT!! Using eyeliner has NEVER been easier. I don’t have the blue one yet (the one I wanted the most) but I have faith that I may eventually have it. (wink wink). In fact I adore all my Nars products. I love their packaging.
Francois Nars (who is very young) celebrated the launch of the 15×15 Project. There were some big names there that I don’t know who they were, so I didn’t gravitate towards their photos. But the ones I have are interesting.

Totally dig the song, even though I could have lived without Diddy on it. I dig the girls, very Total-esque vibe. I’ll definitely listen to the album when it drops, but that’s because I like Dawn. She was always my favorite Danity Kane girl, maybe because I felt she really was talented & creative.
