I have died and gone to summer shoe heaven. I love everything about this neutral toned shoe, enough to abandon my wedges for the summer (and by abandon I mean only buy 1 pair vs. two). These are the Jessican Simpson Kylie sandals. I need them in my life in time for LA/Vegas in May. I see them going with EVERYTHING. Jeans, dresses and shorts oh MY!
So, I attempted to buy this shoe online. Macy’s was having a one day sale and it was marked down to 66 dollars from 110! #SCORE! Loaded my cart with my selected size (size
go to check out after looking at some dresses and my transaction kept getting kicked back. Turns out my size was not available. HOW RUDE!!! If its not available why did you let me load my cart???? My heart dropped. I thought it was a joke. I was on the horn with someone so I opted for the “chat” customer service feature vs. calling them and they said nope, only size 9 and 10 were left. Who are all the size 8 women stealing my shoes????
I haven’t resolved to paying full price yet. I will find a discount.
I also have been thinking as I look at this pic, these shoes are definitely distinctive of my shoe taste. They remind me of these Chinese Laundry sandals I have. From the open toe front to the ankle strap. Very interesting to realize your style hasn’t changed much and is in fact distinctive to you. I love that!

I saw these shoes weeks ago and lusted after them, waiting for a good sale. I am ALL over the Jessica Simpson spring / summer collection. She has some nice pieces that need to be added to my shoe collection. I got these 98 dollar shoes for $68. These are the Jessica Simpson Cheetah pumps!

The same for these BCBG Estrella Pumps, I was eyeing them in Macy’s since maybe February, and just patiently waited for my time to come!

YESSS!!! I know exactly what I’m going to be wearing these with! This spring its going down (BASEMENT!!) Lol.

So, Friday night was Fashion’s Night Out.. which if you ask me I’m still not entirely sure what it is .. but what it amounted to in NYC is live performances and and fun giveaways in the city that never sleeps..
I decided to take this opportunity to make my first trip to Macy’s Herald Square to buy the infamous Rachel Roy Kaytee pumps that I mentioned previously …
It was a nice night out, I had a coupon for 20% off.. so it was going to be a win win for me!
And OMG so it was!!! Macy’s was awesome even though it was a wreck and I went to Carmine’s Italian Restaurant for the first time and had some of THEE best seafood linguine of my line. BEST! You must try it!
Check out the PICS of me & @diqisdope trying on our goodies! See … I do actually buy SOME of the shoes I post about..
This is the view from above! Don’t they look awesome on our feet? I’m wearing the patent leather Kaytee pumps & the homey is wearing sparkling Kimi
Shoe LOVE!!! LOVING it!
And for an added Bonus .. I tried on these over the knee Calvin Klein boots with a cut-out detail .. Amazingly awesome shoe .. I suffocated my calf trying to squeeze into them, but there’s no way they could last a full day. And I’d need to put on leggings or tights or something … so they were a no-go

Taking a casual Sunday stroll through the Macy’s shoe department I spotted these sexy black pumps. The first thing I said when I saw this shoe was “I want to have sex in this shoe.” I know that’s a little graphic and all but this shoe EXUDES sex to me. Look at that sexy lace up detail that you only get on the back. The front is just a plain black pump. Doesn’t it get you in a sexy mood?Rachel Roy has definitely made me a fan with the Kaytee shoe. It’s the perfect hint of hidden naughtiness that I love. This shoe is SOOO me because I have a little hint of naughtiness in
me.
The specifics: 4 3/4 inch heel 1 inch platform with synthetic material. (not real leather
) In case you’re new to this, I LOVE platforms. Absolute must have, hidden or exposed. Kaytee only comes in black. And its only $99 dollars. Score one for me with my Macy’s coupon at home too! AWESOME!
Next to Kaytee on the rack was Kimi (I feel like I’m adding names to the Kardashian clan lol) who is FAB as well . Kimi is a glitter pump with a studded heel detail .. Kimi rocks because of the shimmer she has. It’s kind of cool because you can’t place where its coming from. She is a different kind of sexy to And then she has this studded heel. Sexy Sexi Sessi!!! Same specs as Kaytee (heel height and platform) but Kimi comes in pewter as well. W
hen I see Kimi I think of Single White Female, where she takes the heel and jams it in the guys eye … because of the studs… IDK ..
Me and my homegirl decided that she’ll buy Kimi (she loves her more) and I’ll buy Kaytee (my true shoe love) and then we can have both shoes available to us at anytime. #noshame. That’s the plus of being of similar size to your friends. I’m so excited for fall shoes. In case you haven’t noticed my shoe posts (well all post in general) have been lacking due to lack of inspiration. But fall shoes bring a certain amount of excitement. I told my friend the other day, summer shoes are like cheap throwaways. Meant to only last one season. Fall and Winter shoes are an investment. Boots are to last for years. Just my philosophy.
I can’t wait to keep you all posted all the hot fall/winter finds. Oh and coats. I need a new coat so I’ll be looking around!

So … it’s been a while since I’ve done a shoe post … and these are THE perfect way to bring back shoes .. I low-key love fall because 1. the weather is awesome when its not raining because its not so humid. I love the brisk air in autumn .. and I LOOVVEE cute boots! In case you need a refresher, some of the MUST have for me in shoes are platform, 4 inch heels, and FUNKY! I love something that’s just a little different, after all shoes can make or break an outfit!
Meet Raphael Young’s Autumn/Winter collection. I don’t know who this Paris based designer is, but I am into it. He has a big fall collection too, but here are my 3 favs.
1. If I could wear thigh highs, these would be MINE. I’m freaking drooling! Platform: CHECK. 4 inch + heel : CHECK … *drool*

2. Me + these boots + straight leg jeans= PERFECTION. I neeeeeeeeeeeedd these .. more than I need to pay rent in September. #imjustsaying. The ONLY thing that could make me LOVE this shoe more would be if it had a rugged sole, almost cleat like .. it’d be wrap from there …

3. Blue? Ya’ll know I love blue (despite the bright pink background). I love this bootie (my 2nd favorite shoe style). I’m looking for a bootie to add to the rotation this winter. These shall do JUSSTTTTTTT fine!
Here is where you can check the rest of the collection online. I have no info on how to purchase or pricing yet, because their website is still on the way. They have an email contact, but I don’t know if I’m ready to take that leap yet into emailing them. But oh my I sure would!

This weeks Fashion Friday is about a girls best friend (besides diamonds!) Shoes & purses. And this week its about booties. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with getting a pair. I’m waiting for a great sale before I make a commitment.
These are the Chula Ankle Boots by Carlos Santana.

These 2 tone boots are ADORABLE!! I love the reptile printed fabric on the rounded toe and they have my favorite thing: a hidden platform! They are 4 inches and to die for. Absolutely to die for! Thoughts?
Can you see it? Tights + tunic + These boots+chunky jewelry? YES!!
These can be found at Macy’s for $119. Not bad at all. Not bad.

OMG, who is this shoe maker? This design is absolute HEAVEN!

I know I can’t afford this, because apparently, Gianvito Rossi is like a shoe GOD! This design is flipping great!

Fashion Friday stomps on!
Red Suede Booties. something about the pleating of this bootie wowed me. You have to be a killer fashionista to pull this of, and to afford them.

These Moschino Suede Booties will cost you $660. But they are KILLER! That patent leather bow is a bravo. They are 4inches even if they don’t look it and of course they have a hidden 1/2 inch platform.
I’ve never had a pair of Italian shoes, or as Aldo Rein would say, EYE-talian shoes.
Yay or Nay?

Who doesn’t love a 4 inch heel that feels like its 3 inches??

I introduce you to the Pour La Victorie Adriane boot. What I love about it:
Hidden 1-inch platform
4 inch heel
Zippers
I love the “thicker” heel. Traditional stilettos aren’t for me, these are perfect. They have such edge to them. I just want to wear them every day.
They cost $319 and can be found at a Nordstrom near you. I will admire from afar. But damn they’d look good on me.

Deja Shoe!
When I saw these Rampage “Brittany’ boots, I immediately liked them, because they resembled these Jessica Simpson Yana boots from last winter that I had my eye on.

I tried them on Nordstroms .. and Lord & Taylor but the calf was just a little tighter than I would have liked. I mean, seriously, look at the similarities of these boots

-both have side zippers
-both have a closure asthetic feature on the back of the opening. (which I absolutely LOVE)
-both have a slouch feature.

Jessica Simpson’s boot is slightly higher (which is A-OK to me) and fits slightly closer to the knee. I also like that her boot has a more square toe. But if you did a double glance you’d swear they were the same boot!

On this weeks edition of Fashion Friday I have some boots for you guys. Not too many but just enough to tease you as we go into fall. Let’s start off with these Guess Buster boots (the name amuses me).
I love these boots, I’ve never been really big on Guess shoes. I may just have a thing for brown suede, but either way they are nice to me. They also come in black, but black can be a little BORING!
My favorite accent is the leg warmer material at the top of this 4 inch stacked heel boot. I also like the strap at the top of the calf, In case you’re new to this. I need as much extra calf room as possible since mine are HUGE. Too huge for my little feet!

So, thanks Guess for the Buster Boot.
Sorry, I couldn’t find a bigger and better photo! I’ll have to hit up the local Macy’s for some “live action shots.”

Sigh …
I hate when bad things happen to shoes. I want to take names and kick ass… This is a:
Fashion FAIL!

Who did this to this poor shoe?? And bless the poor soul that actually bought them.
Found these via Fredericks of Hollywood as well .they are called the “lambskin cuffed sandal.” So many things wrong here .. the buttons? are those really buttons or are they accents that look like buttons? Too much toe. That whole half boot trend is a fine line to be teetered, and you my dear designer have failed. Super fail … Where is JessDubb so she can put her big red FAIL all over it! LOL
All I can say is just bad… bad… bad…

My only gripe with Bakers shoes is that I’ve had some that were extemely poorly made. Not every pair, but a few. However, they do stock some pretty cute shoes.

Say Hi to the Parisien boot.
I like this bootie because of the slouch knit thing. They too have a 3/4 inch hidden platfrom on a 4 1/2 inch heel. They are black leather/sweater and will run you about $100. I like the idea of having on dark denim and having them tucked in the boot. I can imagine me rocking these. Or with a cute sweater dress and tights. LOVE!
One good thing about Bakers is they typically have a buy one get one 30% off, you might catch a sale with those. And then you can grab these booties by Wild Pair while you’re there.

Say Hi to Plaid Mandi. she’s slightly higher than the Parisien with a 1 inch platform and a heel height of 4 3/4. Instead of leather they are suede and they are open toe. They also have a peek of side ankle going on. These will cost you also $100 full price.

These shoes are NOT for the fashion faint of heart. I’m torn on liking the purple plaid or the black/white more. Initially the black & white screamed Nay but after a closer look I can see both of them being work absolutely fabulously. OH my lord they are cute!
Thoughts?

So last time I did Fashion Friday it was alll about high -end shoes that I can’t afford, but this time (for the most part) we are bringing it down with some peeks at cheaper shoes for fall. I also have a few non-shoe surprises, so let’s get down!
First up …

Frederick’s of Hollywood.
I saw these boots in the fall preview catalog mailed to me. They are distressed leather with a hidden platform. In case you don’t know, I LOVE a hidden platform. These 4 1/2 inch boots also come in black for those that aren’t ready for white. The best feature to me (while I’m up in arms about it asthecially) is the elastic ban at the top. I have huge calves so something of that nature is GREATLY appreciated, even if it cheapens the look. Total cost: $119 – definitely cheap for a boot. I wonder how comfy they are, but they are cute to wear with a wrap dress on a nice fall day.
