Today’s long-awaited (haha) Spreading Sunshine is dedicated to dating! Why all the dating posts? Because some of the stuff that I’ve encountered as a newly single twenty-something has me confused. And apparently I’m not alone. Me and my homegirl TB were just gchatting away about guys (and maybe this is just NJ guys) and their lack of dating etiquette. TB made a good point that its time to get back to basics. People somehow think that dating is either an exclusive relationship or a Friends with benefit relationship. NO!! Dating is dating. Going out and having a good time, not chilling in the house! And it doesn’t necessarily include hooking up! A girl doesn’t want to have to explain this. All we girls want is to go out, laugh, and have a good time. We can do fun (FREE) stuff. NOt every date has to be an all-star event. But that’s not to say we don’t want to get dressed up and cute. I have been DYING to wear this cute outfit I have in my closet. It’s a PERFECT date outfit. But unfortunately, no luck yet. Is it asking too much to have a guy give me a reason to get all dressed up? It would be nice for him to call me, YES CALL, me and say “get dressed I’m picking you up” and then we have a night on the town. I miss those days. And I shouldn’t miss them, I’m barely 25 for Christs Sake!!

Why are you still single? The Married guy is breaking down what should be done with your time in singledom. I agree with some and not others. I do think you need to learn how to be happy with yourself before you can be happy with someone else. Saying that volunteering is going to lead to a successful relationship… not totally seeing that correlation.

5. Office supplies– “my BF went to London and all i got was this stupid pen” yeah.. that would suck for Valentine’s day ..
I guess it is better to be single than have to deal with crappy gifts and half hearted Hallmark created holidays. It’s only really fun and good when the person is good to you all year and they take the time to go the EXTRA mile. Than can be a woman doing it for her man or vice versa. I’d rather just wait patiently.
My co-worker showed me this video and I found it to be Hee-Lar-ious!! I barely paid any attention to last weeks unveiling of the iPad, but I did manage to catch some Twitter jokes about it. Even if you’re like me and didn’t pay it any attention, you will find this funny.

In honor of Fashion Friday today’s Time Top 10 List is for Fashion Faux Pas in 2009. Some of them you can’t really be surprised, like the #1 was an Olsen twin. Her outfit looked like an acid trip.

I’m sure Lady Gaga will make several of these lists over the season because while her outfits are definitely amusing & eye catching, they are definitely on the off side. But um, she has the Dora the Explorer hair cut. OMG my girl crush because of her FAB body Amber Rose made the cut w/ Kanye from the VMAs. You know, where she wore a skin tight jumpsuit in nude snakeskin?
I’m saying, while it may not have been the best material, her body looks AWESOME!!
And another highlight, Sharon Stone bringing up the rear @ number ten. Doesn’t she make at least one of these list every year?? I thought this was bedroom wear gone bad.
I hope everyone is safe out on the mean streets of Black Friday – the BIGGEST shopping day of the year. Retailers are getting smarter though, they realize people don’t want to be trampled, so after BF there will be Cyber Monday, so don’t hurt yourself rushing out to Wally World & getting trampled.

1. Why did Amy Winehouse get implants? This looks horrible. My eyes can’t take it! Check the before and after man!Thing is, I think she has the potential to be pretty. Shoot, others look worse!
2. Why do people fuel pseudo celebrities? Like seriously, because Tameka Foster-Raymond, or whoever she is, keeps feeding the media, she seems to think she is famous. Honey you’re not. And neither are half these other people. Why won’t they just go away. Audacity . REAL celebs don’t call people at home.This is why you’d never be famous! Speaking of Pseudo celebs, why everyone gotta pick on Khloe Kardashian? Saying how she’s the ugliest sister? She’s a cute girl, and idiot, but still cute. I hate that picture they have up all over the internet of her in that horrible red lipstick. She shouldn’t be allowed to do that!
3. Why do I like Chris Brown’s new video, but I’m not totally sold on the song? Maybe its because of Wayne. I’m so not into him. But I love C.Brown. He’s getting older now too, so I don’t feel so pervy!
4. Why is R.Kelly still making music that tries to attract 16 yr. olds? That song, Number 1 is whack. Shoot yourself.
5. Why did yahoo auto draft me Shaq? I hate Shaq! Even worse, I hate listening to him talk.
6. Pogo.com’s Battle ship is utterly addicting. Why do I spend many hours playing this new game. Salvo style please and thank you!
OMG! I just LOL’ed during this whole video. Lebron + Kobe as puppets is funny. I’m an avid Lebron fan and I think he’s a comedian in many of his commercials.. & he just made MVP! Go BOO! (yes..I would make babies with Lebron, I think he’s sexy, don’t judge me!!!)

Now maybe in one lifetime I might try this, but I would NEVER think a man would use this (well at least not a straight man). But as you can see from the picture there is a man using this, and it does make me question his sexuality. Does that make me mean? Or just overly aware of social clues & stereotypes?
