Today is my birthday .. so these are things on my birthday wish list. In an ideal world, I’d be rocking this stuff and not wishing about it.
P!NK covered the cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine rocking this HOT dress.
Of course when I saw it, I twitpic’d it and someone, I wanna say @Bleakey told me it was a Gucci dress. So I searched for the Spring & Summer Gucci collections and found the dress:
I think I’ve previously blogged those Gucci shoes , but I think P!NK rocked the dress better than the model, the model gives this dress no shape. I want this dress. I love the edginess of it.

I happen to one of the few American’s who is into Kelis … Or at least I used to be. I ADORED her album Kelis Was Here. In fact, many songs off that album are still getting heavy rotation. I actually BOUGHT that cd. I also happen to think Kelis is a really pretty woman. So this is why it pains me to see her looking so … BAD these days!! It’s like she is just trying wayyyy too hard to be unique.

I like to get all my fashion and celebrity news in one spot. And when I’m not spending time on Dlisted laughing at people’s fashion choices.. I’m searching for a good site that can combine the two for me without being too blah. What do I then discover? Stylecaster.
This is important to me, because I don’t have as much time to get all my news links on Twitter (it really is like that sometimes..) so I need to quickly peruse while I’m at work and some sites are now blocked from my job ( 
) . My guilty pleasure is Celebrity news and fashion. I enjoy my serious news and world news but sometimes you just need strict entertainment. Stylecaster has celebrity news (like all the cute Academy Awards dresses that I missed *bbm sad face*) and they also have just straight out Fashion Industry News (like that Solange & Zooey are the new faces of Rimmel London).
Do you know what I also found out on stylecaster? Gossip Girl returns tonight! I have missed this show so much. I don’t have much time for TV, but I NEEEEDDD my guilty pleasure of upper echelon NY teeny boppers. I need it! It makes me feel like I belong!

So, anyone who knows me knows that my two favorite things are sales .. and even bigger sales. I believe that anything is worth buying on sale and if you really want something you should try to find it for cheap. Only true emergencies call for full price purchases… Does this make me cheap or fiscally responsible? I’m still working that one out.
If you were to ever meet me (for those who haven’t) and perhaps tell me that “Oh, those shoes are cute!!” I might respond, “Yeess!! and I got them on sale @ _____ store” It’s a bad habit. I can’t help it and it won’t stop soon. What that also means is that I spend plenty of time hitting the pavement (aka the internets) searching for good deals. LoW and Behold! These hot promotional codes I found on Savings.com for Shoes.com . HEAVEN! Shoes.com had these BOMB Guess boots I’d been eying for awhile, the Guess Buster boot… AND several other boots I find myself pining over. I know its March and boot season is almost over, but I’m just so over my BCBGirls boots. I feel like I’ve over-worn them and need to move on AND now is the BEST time to buy boots. Out of season sales are THE best!
I was hoping they’d have the Nine West Ivonnie boot I tried on at Macy’s this weekend, but no such luck. Either way, these free coupons rock. I didn’t have to sign up for anything or even provide any information. I just clicked and BOMM coupons galore! Me + Sales and Discounts = perfect match. I kid you not. What I like more than sales? FREE … but no cute shoes ever came to me for free only ones from my grandmother.
This site is coming in handy for me since I have not one but TWO baby showers to go to next weekend. I need some Babies R’ Us coupons like YESTERDAY!! How dare my friends do this to me. Horrible. But Savings.com makes it easy to search for all the different stores, and they even had a printable coupon I could take to the store. Love it.

Today’s long-awaited (haha) Spreading Sunshine is dedicated to dating! Why all the dating posts? Because some of the stuff that I’ve encountered as a newly single twenty-something has me confused. And apparently I’m not alone. Me and my homegirl TB were just gchatting away about guys (and maybe this is just NJ guys) and their lack of dating etiquette. TB made a good point that its time to get back to basics. People somehow think that dating is either an exclusive relationship or a Friends with benefit relationship. NO!! Dating is dating. Going out and having a good time, not chilling in the house! And it doesn’t necessarily include hooking up! A girl doesn’t want to have to explain this. All we girls want is to go out, laugh, and have a good time. We can do fun (FREE) stuff. NOt every date has to be an all-star event. But that’s not to say we don’t want to get dressed up and cute. I have been DYING to wear this cute outfit I have in my closet. It’s a PERFECT date outfit. But unfortunately, no luck yet. Is it asking too much to have a guy give me a reason to get all dressed up? It would be nice for him to call me, YES CALL, me and say “get dressed I’m picking you up” and then we have a night on the town. I miss those days. And I shouldn’t miss them, I’m barely 25 for Christs Sake!!

I do think you need to learn how to be happy with yourself before you can be happy with someone else. Saying that volunteering is going to lead to a successful relationship… not totally seeing that correlation.

I’ve had these pics for a little over a week, but I just was so busy! I am sharing them now!
Look @ little Dakota Fanning! I can’t believe she is so old now! I was shocked when I saw her in the New Moon (Twilight Trilogy) movie! And even in Secret Life of Bee’s I couldn’t believe how tall and dangly she’d gotten. But these pics, for Italian Vogue, she is so big! Big as in grown up. I feel so old when I watch people grow up. I’m sure people feel the same way when they see me. You hear it all the time “Yeah, I remember when you were yay high” LOL?
Idk what is up with these Lourdes eyebrows, but I guess that’s Italian fashion.. She doesn’t even look like the cute little girl from Man on Fire in some of these pics.. but that is hollywood life for you!!

I just learned something new today::
BCBG Max Azria is named for the French phrase “bon chic, bon genre”—which means “good style, good attitude”—and is the lower-priced fashion arm of the company that includes Max Azria and Hervé Léger by Max Azria.
Because I enjoy little pieces of random trivia I found this extremely interesting. I can now file it away to my room of useless facts.

Did I mention that I finished the book “The Last Lecture?” I thought it was soo good! It was exactly what I needed in my life. I mean, it made me think about how in life so many of us give up on our ideals and settle in with its distant cousin reality. No FAIR. It really is true: Reality Shouts; ideals whisper. – Nathaniel LeTonnere, translated . Why is it that way? I want my dreams and fantasies to be close. But now they are so far away I don’t even know what they are any more. Last lecture helped me think about what are the things I dreamed of doing when I was a kid, that aren’t too far off now.
– 1. I wanted to be lawyer when I was younger. I just had it made up in my mind that I was going to be a kickass trial attorney. So, I had it alll in my head I was going to go to college, major in Criminal Justice and then go directly to law school. NOPE! I took my first criminal justice course and found that it SUCKED!! And I one Graduate TA (Teachers Assistant) who broke it down for me: If you major in criminal justice and per chance don’t make it to law school, what are you going to do with that degree in Criminal Justice. Interesting advice. Needless to say I didn’t major in criminal justice.
–2. I then wanted to be a big-time magazine editor. But that is kind of hard when you don’t have the write contacts. Very Hard.
–3. I wanted to go teach English in Korea or China or Japan or some foreign country.
None of these things seem like things I really want to do now. So now I need to think of some new adult dreams. Its really hard to dream when reality is ice grilling you. Why is this so?

SO, apparently a girl really can have her glass slipper. It’s just going to cost her 7,500 dollars!!!!!!!
Pasquale Fabrizio, who is this UBER talented “shoe cobbler to the stars” has designed these glass slippers. I have never heard of Pasquale, probably since I’m not a star, but according to laweekly.com
He once built a three-legged monster costume for two 300-pound wrestlers. He fashioned a steel brace for the shared third leg, so that one wrestler standing inside the suit wouldn’t crush the other’s foot. He built up the calves of Angelina Jolie’s Jimmy Choo boots in Mr. & Mrs. Smith to make them thigh-high, and he swapped out the heels — 80 pairs at a time — so she could run around comfortably during stunts. He duplicated Muhammad Ali’s Everlasts — down to the tassels — for Will Smith, then, as Smith wore out their rubber soles from hours of practice in the ring, he resoled them. When Frank Darabont, the director of The Green Mile, needed the squeak removed from a pair of boots, Fabrizio came through … and did so again when Darabont changed his mind and wanted the squeak returned. One regular customer even implored Fabrizio to fix a Jacuzzi cover. The dog had chewed it.
WTH is Murano glass you ask (because I did) its some super secret Italian way of making glass!! According to wiki, most Murano glass art is made using the lampworking technique. The glass is made from silica which becomes liquid at high temperatures. As the glass passes from a liquid to a solid state, there is an interval when the glass is soft before it hardens completely. This is when the glass-master can shape the material.
I’m not a 100% fan of the shoe, because I don’t like the thin strap across the front, but that heel design is TTIIGGGHTTT and I love the gold beads and ankle strap. BOMB!! Not that I have 7,500 to be spending on them anyway!

In the back of my closet there is (and don’t judge me) a pair of Lucite heels .. they didn’t cost nearly as much as this Fendi pair of heels, so imagine my shock when I saw stripper shoes could be so damn expensive.
These Fendi Khaki colored wrap / platform sandals are making my heart melt. that 2 inch platform takes some practice to walk on, its not for the weak. Trust me! And the heel, is listed at six inches. UM.. WHAT?? Nina Garcia says you shouldn’t go over 4. I break that rule often, but SIX?? I’ll eye from afar.
The FF logo is on the lucite platorm, and they will cost you $1553. Wow.

I am still on the fence about these Caged Boots I’ve been seeing all around. Something is just off about them, I guess its the whole . . . shell thing?? But the shape and height of these boots is making me drool. I think I kinda love them! You know I’m a SUCKER for the platform.

In honor of Fashion Friday today’s Time Top 10 List is for Fashion Faux Pas in 2009. Some of them you can’t really be surprised, like the #1 was an Olsen twin. Her outfit looked like an acid trip.
My favorites from the list:
I’m sure Lady Gaga will make several of these lists over the season because while her outfits are definitely amusing & eye catching, they are definitely on the off side. But um, she has the Dora the Explorer hair cut. OMG my girl crush because of her FAB body Amber Rose made the cut w/ Kanye from the VMAs. You know, where she wore a skin tight jumpsuit in nude snakeskin?
I’m saying, while it may not have been the best material, her body looks AWESOME!!
And another highlight, Sharon Stone bringing up the rear @ number ten. Doesn’t she make at least one of these list every year?? I thought this was bedroom wear gone bad.

Never have I been an Ed Hardy fan. I mean, who was this brand I had never heard of, and why are people so gaga over it suddenly? And why the hell are there skulls on damn near everything? But yet they were so popular it’s a wine now?
And then I’m on Zappos browsing for some scarves and Ed Hardy has some pretty dope ones. Absoutely FAB scarves. Also Absolutely OVERpriced too! And that’s why I freaking LOVE Zappos! I mean, their customer service is the bomb! They are great. They always respond to @ replies on twitter. Even before twitter, when I had to call them, they were helpful. Absolutely adore Zappos and their low costs. And I am loving these scarves I found by Ed Hardy (for a significantly lower price!!)

They have soo many cute scarves and other accessories you must check them out. Not that I’m going to turn around and become an Ed Hardy fan, but he does have a lot of stuff I wasn’t familiar with. Those skulls just don’t do it for me though. And I’m just not sold on Ed Hardy shoes. The sneakers were cute for kids, but the heels? For women, no bueno!!
