Even though I know how the story ends, I swear I’m Team Jacob. Even though he’s childish and tempermental and volatile. I <3 Jakeypoo! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE how ‘IN LOVE’ Bella and Edward are, but they are so mushy its disgusting.
Eclipse was suuuccchhh a better movie than New Moon. But then again, New Moon was a horrible book- filled with Bella’s brooding and crying. That’s the great problem the creators of the movies have to deal with. I say that because these books are a bunch of teenage angst, so to take that and make it a motion picture that people swoon over is awesome talent. But New Moon was too heavy on special effects to make up for the weak story line.
Eclipse had a story line + some action so it just HAD to be a better movie- right? I mean, I’m not a die-hard Twilight fanatic, but here are a list of my pros and cons for the flick:
My cons::
One thing I didn’t enjoy was the way they ‘disposed’ of the vampires. Really though- they were hard concrete?? It was like breaking dishes.. Not cool.
Jacob always had a dramtic entrance. I mean, seriously? Does he need a surprising head turn for each entrance? For EVERY one of his scenes? And someone give this boy a shirt. This is kiddie porn.
Hate bella’s engagement ring.
The fight scenes are over so quick

Can’t remember if that was in the book..
I don’t rememeber Jane having that role in this movie .. I might have to reread the book.. But I don’t remember her being in the clearing or even watching the newborns wreck havoc. #whoknows

4. Cashmere toilet paper: uummm… who the hell really gave this gift? Where did you find it? Please avoid all bathroom gifts!
5. Office supplies– “my BF went to London and all i got was this stupid pen” yeah.. that would suck for Valentine’s day ..
I guess it is better to be single than have to deal with crappy gifts and half hearted Hallmark created holidays. It’s only really fun and good when the person is good to you all year and they take the time to go the EXTRA mile. Than can be a woman doing it for her man or vice versa. I’d rather just wait patiently.
I saw this and had to share. It reminded me of a quote on last year’s work calendarL “Always remember you’re unique … Just like everybody else.” I always found that amusing. You should too!
1. Want to be a Wine expert? Me too! I happen to LOVE wine, and I’m all for having the right wine for the right occasion. Except, my dilemma is that I hate red wine! But, like the author said, “Every adult should be familiar with wine, even if they do not drink it.”
2. Would you get a piranha pedicure? Part of me finds this midly intriguing but utterly gross!!! What do they do with the fish while they change the water? But I just really want to know how smooth are your feet when its done? Will some people still need that razor later??
3. Need a Plug Rug? So, when I go out and I need to hide things – tampons, cameras, ID and the like, I just stuff it in my cleavage. But I guess not everyone is as fortunate and they need a plug rug. Get them while they’re HOT!
4. It’s a Wheel? It’s a Hampster Wheel? It’s a bed? Yes, that’s right, this is a cool, ROCKING bed! This would be great for getting that perfect angle to watch TV on. And maybe a few other good uses. The site is in some other language, Dutch or German, so I can’t find the price, good luck with that! Consider it your own persona cloud!
I guess we can officially say that Summer is over. Absolutely, definitely over. And, we all know what that means, right? The return of TV. Yes, that’s right with September not only comes changing leaves and cooler nights, we also get all our favorite TV shows. Last year I was overly excited over the return of Gossip Girl, Grey’s, Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, The Game, and Samantha Who? among others. Now, a few of these shows have said goodbye, unfortunately, but I’m still looking forward to some fall premieres, and I have dates for some others might not be sure of.
So, crank your DVRs into the ready position and plan accordingly! My tops:
9/14: Gossip girl – Blair & Serena off to college, or wherever high school graduation leads them. Plus, Georgina returns. I love to hate her! And so what if I still like GG and I’m over 17. Who cares?
9/24: Grey’s Anatomy – bye bye Georgie aka 007! I hope this season is great despite the cast changes. Grey’s fell off some in the past few seasons.
9/23: Law & Order: SVU – Sure, I can catch reruns on USA but its nothing like new episodes of Benson & Stabler. But do NOT leave this playing in the background before a “session” it might weird you out. Just an FYI
9/27: The Cleveland Show -Family Guy spinoff! YEESSS!! While I am almost as excited for the return of the Griffin family, I thought this was going to drop last year, so excuse me if I anticipate this one more. Go Cleveland!
9/27: Desperate Housewives – I love Gabby, Lynette, & Bree. OH, and I guess Susan is OK as well. Can’t wait to see what trouble awaits Wysteria Lane this year. The 5 year skip year didn’t bother me at all.
9/27: Brothers and Sisters – I love the Walkers, they are my extended TV family, lol. And Rebecca & Justin together! Yay!
9/28: Lie to Me – the show is sick. so good. It’s legal stuff but not like court system stuff. Love it.
10/1: Private Practice - Last season ended with a major cliffhanger. Let’s see where it ends up.
10/9: Ugly Betty – I love the outrageousness of it. Hilarity.

There are plenty of other new shows out there that are starting this fall, but none of them have piqued my interest yet. Well, I did see a preview of something for ABC that seemed promising, Modern Family. It has Al Bundy in it. (Yes, he is forever Al Bundy.)
I contemplated boycotting the CW because the offed The Game, and I still might, and just watch Gossip Girl through other outlets, but I enjoy Tweeting while watching the show. I love the imput from my Twitter family. So, do you guys think I should take a stand against the CW and their hate for good black sitcoms?I mean, there isn’t one on the roster worth watching… besides Cleveland and that doesn’t really count.

When will you get married, etc., They are cool to pass the time with sometimes… at least they do for me at work. Today one of my friends took the “What Black Leader are You?” so I decided to follow.
I don’t know how the hell they arrive at their answers based on the questions used, but apparently I’m Angela Davis, which for me is cool because I think she rocks.

I remember seeing her speak when I was in college and thought she was a great speaker. But then my results got me to thinking. What am I speaking my mind about? Is my voice useless if I spend it ranting about things no one cares about? What is there that can be vehemently spoken against in this new millennium where nothing is sacred? It was so easy in the past, Davis’s generation, to get involved and speak out because things were blatantly racist and unjust. But now injustice is covertly hidden amongst us and when you try to call it out people call you paranoid. They say your overreacting and racism doesn’t exist. OR women’s rights. Plenty will say that women’s rights are no longer an issue and things are plenty equal. What is it that really grinds Cleo’s gears to cause her to speak out. what did I feel strongly for or against?
1. I’m against white celebrities going to Africa or China or Vietnam, or wherever to adopt babies when their are plenty disadvantaged people in our own country. How can we fix other peoples kids when we can’t fix our own.
2. I’m against the illegal immigration of Mexicans. Why should you be given a free pass because of your close proximity to the US?
3. I am against standardized testing being a way to judge the nations kids. The forces schools, in urban areas especially, to teach to the test versus just plain teaching. We want kids to be well rounded not little test drones who get to college and fail because they aren’t getting the proper education.
4. I’m pro-choice.
5. And today it was brought to my attention yet again that I think PETA is a waste of time and space. Can I start and anti-PETA Coalition? I wonder how many members I could atract. I mean seriously, how many times do they think they can throw red paint on someones fur before one of them gets killed? Or how about going to the fundamentals of how people orginated? (sure we’re far from them but hey!) Way back when people had to wear fur, it was the only way to keep warm. You had to hunt your coat down and before you could wear him you had to eat him! I’d be more up in arms over the chemicals and shit they are putting in the beef to then feed our kids than actually wearing their skin. How about protesting against the FDA and their lax standards?

3. OK, this isn’t really spreading sunshine, but um.. Am I the only one who can careless about Maxwell’s big come back? I’m so over it. People are going bananas. Personally, I can never listen to a WHOLE Maxwell cd. I dl’ed them all because people bigged him up so much, they have been deleted. Sorry.
Men, foot care is not just a female worry, so even if you don’t go and let a professional do it please take the time do it yourself. I know there are some stigmas and stereotypes that surround men who go out and get pedicures, but I say damn all that. Some straight guys say its a “homo” thing to do.. but how do they figure. Pedicures come with a foot and lower leg massage, full nail care, callus treatment, and moisturizing so unless your getting some nail polish I don’t see how that makes it in any way gay. I mean, most men enjoy a nice massage, sooo… what’s the problem..
Here is where this thought began to ruminate, just so you don’t think I’m coming out of left field. When I was on vacation it happened to rain a lot. So one day, I’m sitting on a step, avoiding the rain waiting for my ride, and this group of 4 guys walks over to the area also trying to avoid the rain. Being that I was sitting down, I had a good view of their footwear/feet. When I turned my head I saw the ugliest pair of man feet EVER!! So, being the person that I am, I had to sneak a picture. I managed to finagle around him to get a picture of his feet. HE caught me, but not before I snapped a pic for you guys.. check it:
So after he catches us he begins to ask me and my friend do we think his friend is cute. “No, but we think you’re feet are sexy!!!” And we died laughing. The sad thing is, he wasn’t a bad looking guy at all, but his feet looked like they belonged to a 65 year old man. There is nothing sexy about Chewbacca feet. Get it together guys.
Why should you care about a foot care regimen? Um, well it will prevent the funky odor and women appreciate that. If you want a foot massage you better not have nasty ass gnarly toes poking out! And if you take care of your feet you can avoid calluses. I’m just saying guys! If not for yourself do it for others! If I can keep myself groomed so can you. If you don’t get pedicures, please own a toe nail clipper. Thanks!
Anyone who is anyone on Facebook (formerly www.thefacebook.com, how many people remember that?) has done a 25 random things about me, been tagged in one, or read one. At first it started out with 16 things, then tagging 16 of your friends who then in turn did their own 16 things. But it evolved. So after being bombarded with tags for random things I did one. And dammit, I thought mine was quite funny. I find myself to be amusing, hence the reason I write this blog. I also think other people might find me amusing. I used to get this same quiet enjoyment from spreading my wonderfulness by doing myspace surveys. I used to copy other peopls and fill in my own answers. Or if I really had a lot of time I sought out my own surveys and completed them. Eventually I got to the point where I felt I had said everything that could be said about myself. Everyonce in a while I’ll indulge again. So when I did my 25 random things, I thought of all my friends form myspace who also use facebook and how they would relish in this welcome resurgence of my wittiness. In case you care, some tidbits from my random things are:

-I’ve never driven in NYC and have no plans to do it anytime soon.

-I hate when people post pregnant pictures of themselves online. Pregnant bellies are creepy and scary. It is also not OK to post pics of your sonogram. I particularly don’t care to ever see inside someones uterus. ICK
People who know me have found humor and solace in my random things I am sure. So today I came across this article on Time.com (TIME Magazine I tell you. Facebook is really a phenomenon-way better than Myspace I tell you!) Anyway, this article addressed the upsurge in Random things on Facebook, which is hilarious because I thought it was just my friends, LOL. The article says that most of the lists aren’t funny and are actually pretty stupid (some are, I’ve been bored by a few). The best part of the article happens to be the random 25 things the author writes that he read. I am going to highlight the ones I found laugh out loud funny.
-Just because I realize that Asian women are smarter, more attractive, and have about themselves a generally superior level of class does not mean I have a fetish. Just that I’m racist.
-My friends say that when they shave my back I purr like a walrus. (I’m not sure which is more gross, the fact that you have enough back hair that needs to be shaved or that your friends do it for you, LOL).
- I like to tape my thumbs to my hands to see what it would be like to be a dinosaur. (WTF??)
-I eat gummy bears by tearing them limb from limb and eating their heads last.
In recent months Time magazine has been making its way up on my must read list. NOt quite high enough to warrant a subscription because I can just snatch them from work, but I like to read it. It has just the right amount of sophisticated humor and intelligence that a viral mind like mine needs. Here’s the link to the article, check it out!
So.. ladies (and maybe a few gents, you never know) now there is a new use for that ‘thing’ you got last week at the “Pleasure Party.” I found this at one of my favorite blogs, Dlisted.com (written by Micheal K, who I don’t know but I feel like I do because he’s hilarious) and I had to share this with you guys! A vibrator ashtray! Who would do this? Who woke up and said you know what, I think this penis and clit stimulator would make a great ash tray? Do they use it for both purposes? Or is it a situation where they got a new one, and they were like hey, why waste money? I’m confused.. And what room of the house is this? Is this a centerpiece, does it spark conversation? But most importantly, EW! smoking kills! (and this could lead to an infection.. smoke remnants all in the va-jay-jay).
Second… According to Page Six (via Dlisted for me) some man wants to paint a 6 foot nude Rachel Ray, using oils and PAPRIKA! Pap-muthaf’in-Rika! I think I have heard about all the different artistic methods now. I guess its a good thing you can get Paprika for like 99 cents. But I wonder will he vary it up with some Smoked Paprika, to give her that smoky glow in certain areas. The artist name is Alex Gardega, and he must be crazy obsessed. I mean don’t get me wrong, 30 minute meals is my ish. I avidly watch,between 6pm-7 almost daily! But I could never see this, it would ruin my view of her as this wholesome cheesy food network girl… I just can’t imagine this…
I love New Jersey, but its official… I’m going to move to Michigan because it is now illegal to annoy people. OMG, I think this is the coolest law EVER! And I HATE the law! HA!In Brighton Michigan the City Council approved a public conduct code Monday night which now can fine someone up to $500 for being annoying. Does the money go to the city or to the person being annoyed? That makes a difference. what happens after several offenses, is there jail time? I think this is so cool.
Part of the bill reads(remember theSchoolHouse Rock things, a bill becomes a law, so this is still a bill):
It shall be unlawful for a person to engage in a course of conduct or repeatedly commit acts that alarm or seriously annoy another person and that serve no legitimate purpose.
It also states its unlawful for anyone to insult, accost, molest, or otherwise annoy a person in public. So no more calling that cashier a stupid bitch or it will cost you more than poorly bagged groceries. However, I do find a problem with the fact that they said the ordinance will be subjective and the call will be made by police officers.. BBOOO!! We all know the boys in blue are annoying as heck, they should be automatically fined at least once by default because sometimes, cops can just be downright jerks.
I never check my AOL mail, and when I do I get more fascinated with their news pieces than my actual email. AOL usually has the best lists, the top 25 things we never use, or the bottom lotions and why not!!! Those are all things I enjoy. So today I’m finally checking my email (lists) and they had their annual list of things we won’t see next year. So, I am highlighting a few things from that list.
What you won’t see in ’09!
1. Traditional Polaroid Film: I didn’t know they still made this. I remember in high school I had this talking Polaroid, well my grandmother really had it, but I used to buy film and use it. Polaroid film was not cheap, but damn those cameras were huge.
2. Zima: I heard about the discontinuation of Zima a few months ago, but wow, Yeah, no Zima for you drunks out there. They really want you to drink their new Sparks Malt beverage instead. I had that crap.. it isn’t that great. What is with all the lemony-limey flavors?And, isn’t it a proven fact that its lethal to mix energy drinks and liquor (red bull & vodka)??? HHmmmm…
3. the Kinkos name: aawww, no longer will I be able to say, “Well, there’s a Kinkos down the road. I have to say, “Yeah, go use FedEx Office.” WTF boooo!!!
4. Taco Bell Volcano Taco: I actually never had this because I don’t eat beef, and sometimes when TB gets new items they don’t offer to sub chicken. However, I did think this was just a promotional item only, like the Fajita Grilled Stuft Burrito. Damn, now I want some TB, but I’m going to be a good girl.
5. Smokey Chipotle Crispy Fried Chicken @ KFC: WTF is that? I never even saw this. Was this for release only in CA or the south our something? I never even saw a commercial for this. How do you get smokey chipotle flavor to shine through the crunchy goodness of the Colonel’s Extra Crispy?
6. Lehman’s Brothers & Bear Sterns: Nothing much really needs to be said about this… except well.. no, nothing its all already been said. Blame it on the mortgages..
7. Shea Stadium: They have closed to build a new location. What will the baseball world be without Shea Stadium? I drove past it once…. it’s big.
8. AFL (Arena Football League): People watch this? Supposedly it has a die hard fan base, which caused their expenses and debts to rise. IDK, but doesn’t increased fans usually mean increased profit?
9. 25 Banks: All total this year 25 banks failed, the biggest being Washington Mutual and INDYMac.. Once again, the blame the “mortgage crisis” vs. the greedy execs. Bah Humbug!!
10. Linen’s & Things: I don’t know if many outside of Jersey are into this store, hell I barely shop there, but it does make me sad that it won’t be there for my linen needs. I am hoping to try and catch some of their “going out of business” sales for my impending move.
