Even though we’ve never been formally acquainted, Christian Louboutin is my future boo. These are the Nitoinimoi (how the hell do you say that???) boots. When I see that word, I pronounce it HOT! These bandange boots are like a Herve Leger dress for your feet. They are fierce (if Tyra will let me borrow the word).
Leather: check
1 Inch platform: check
Just roll me over, because I love them. What do you think?
This weeks Fashion Friday is about a girls best friend (besides diamonds!) Shoes & purses. And this week its about booties. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with getting a pair. I’m waiting for a great sale before I make a commitment.
These are the Chula Ankle Boots by Carlos Santana.
These 2 tone boots are ADORABLE!! I love the reptile printed fabric on the rounded toe and they have my favorite thing: a hidden platform! They are 4 inches and to die for. Absolutely to die for! Thoughts?
Can you see it? Tights + tunic + These boots+chunky jewelry? YES!!
These can be found at Macy’s for $119. Not bad at all. Not bad.
Red Suede Booties. something about the pleating of this bootie wowed me. You have to be a killer fashionista to pull this of, and to afford them.
These Moschino Suede Booties will cost you $660. But they are KILLER! That patent leather bow is a bravo. They are 4inches even if they don’t look it and of course they have a hidden 1/2 inch platform.
I’ve never had a pair of Italian shoes, or as Aldo Rein would say, EYE-talian shoes.
Who doesn’t love a 4 inch heel that feels like its 3 inches??
I introduce you to the Pour La Victorie Adriane boot. What I love about it:
Hidden 1-inch platform
4 inch heel
Zippers
I love the “thicker” heel. Traditional stilettos aren’t for me, these are perfect. They have such edge to them. I just want to wear them every day.
They cost $319 and can be found at a Nordstrom near you. I will admire from afar. But damn they’d look good on me.
When I saw these Rampage “Brittany’ boots, I immediately liked them, because they resembled these Jessica Simpson Yana boots from last winter that I had my eye on.
I tried them on Nordstroms .. and Lord & Taylor but the calf was just a little tighter than I would have liked. I mean, seriously, look at the similarities of these boots
-both have side zippers
-both have a closure asthetic feature on the back of the opening. (which I absolutely LOVE)
-both have a slouch feature.
Jessica Simpson’s boot is slightly higher (which is A-OK to me) and fits slightly closer to the knee. I also like that her boot has a more square toe. But if you did a double glance you’d swear they were the same boot!
On this weeks edition of Fashion Friday I have some boots for you guys. Not too many but just enough to tease you as we go into fall. Let’s start off with these Guess Buster boots (the name amuses me).
I love these boots, I’ve never been really big on Guess shoes. I may just have a thing for brown suede, but either way they are nice to me. They also come in black, but black can be a little BORING!
My favorite accent is the leg warmer material at the top of this 4 inch stacked heel boot. I also like the strap at the top of the calf, In case you’re new to this. I need as much extra calf room as possible since mine are HUGE. Too huge for my little feet!
So, thanks Guess for the Buster Boot.
Sorry, I couldn’t find a bigger and better photo! I’ll have to hit up the local Macy’s for some “live action shots.”
I hate when bad things happen to shoes. I want to take names and kick ass… This is a:
Fashion FAIL!
Who did this to this poor shoe?? And bless the poor soul that actually bought them.
Found these via Fredericks of Hollywood as well .they are called the “lambskin cuffed sandal.” So many things wrong here .. the buttons? are those really buttons or are they accents that look like buttons? Too much toe. That whole half boot trend is a fine line to be teetered, and you my dear designer have failed. Super fail … Where is JessDubb so she can put her big red FAIL all over it! LOL
My only gripe with Bakers shoes is that I’ve had some that were extemely poorly made. Not every pair, but a few. However, they do stock some pretty cute shoes.
Say Hi to the Parisien boot.
I like this bootie because of the slouch knit thing. They too have a 3/4 inch hidden platfrom on a 4 1/2 inch heel. They are black leather/sweater and will run you about $100. I like the idea of having on dark denim and having them tucked in the boot. I can imagine me rocking these. Or with a cute sweater dress and tights. LOVE!
One good thing about Bakers is they typically have a buy one get one 30% off, you might catch a sale with those. And then you can grab these booties by Wild Pair while you’re there.
Say Hi to Plaid Mandi. she’s slightly higher than the Parisien with a 1 inch platform and a heel height of 4 3/4. Instead of leather they are suede and they are open toe. They also have a peek of side ankle going on. These will cost you also $100 full price.
These shoes are NOT for the fashion faint of heart. I’m torn on liking the purple plaid or the black/white more. Initially the black & white screamed Nay but after a closer look I can see both of them being work absolutely fabulously. OH my lord they are cute!
So last time I did Fashion Friday it was alll about high -end shoes that I can’t afford, but this time (for the most part) we are bringing it down with some peeks at cheaper shoes for fall. I also have a few non-shoe surprises, so let’s get down!
First up …
Frederick’s of Hollywood.
I saw these boots in the fall preview catalog mailed to me. They are distressed leather with a hidden platform. In case you don’t know, I LOVE a hidden platform. These 4 1/2 inch boots also come in black for those that aren’t ready for white. The best feature to me (while I’m up in arms about it asthecially) is the elastic ban at the top. I have huge calves so something of that nature is GREATLY appreciated, even if it cheapens the look. Total cost: $119 – definitely cheap for a boot. I wonder how comfy they are, but they are cute to wear with a wrap dress on a nice fall day.
Maybe this is old news to some, but in case you didn’t know like myself, Jimmy Choo and H&M ( Hennes & Mauritz )have partnered to bring his flavor to over 200 H&M stores beginning in November. JC isn’t the first super star designer to bring their duds to a retailer more of us can afford; Vera Wang partnered with Kohl’s a few years ago and Isaac Mizrahi sells at Target. JC is going to be bringing us shoes ranging from $58-138 dollars, which is pretty dope since his shoes retail usually for over $400. This is definitely a huge market for these type of designers. And personally I think it challenges their design skills, because now they have to design every day clothes for the every day woman. Not rich bitches and skinny gals!
I think this is fucking totally awesome. Have you seen the shoes at h&m? They are pure generic trash. Seriously, their shoes are worse than Payless!
If Jimmy can bring me a cheaper version of these caged pumps in red (HELL YEA!!) I’ll be loyal forever!
I have been scouring the internet for days trying to find the shoes Monica is wearing in this video. She is rocking them around the 1:30 point, and they are phenomenal. I see a super high heel with a platform. MUST HAVE! On one blog a commenter said they were by a brand called Marni, so I began a search for them, but came up with nothing. I may not be able to afford them, but the shoe whore inside me needs to know who made them & how much they cost, can you help???
OH & I do like this song off Keyshia Cole’s 3rd cd, A Different ME. Monica can blow and I can’t wait for her CD. I’ve always been a Mo fan…
Dope. Crazy. Perfectly Imperfect. I'm not the best writer and probably not the worst either, but I am happy while doing it. Stick with me and you'll never be bored! I mean, maybe you won't and maybe you will....
