I always tell everyone that I don't listen to the radio because it sucks. Well, its true. Lately I've been letting the alarm radio run while I get ready for work in the mornings. I've been listening to Ed Lover and his crew's morning show on Power 105.1 fm and I enjoy it when they are talking. It's the music that kills me. The radio runs from 7:05 am to 8:05 am and in that hour, Monday through Friday, I hear the same 5 songs. What the hell, with all the music out there, you can only play 5 songs during this hour? New Jersey Drivers: Driving with RAGE

I really am scared for what awaits people in 2009. I say this because people aren't nearly as nice, forgiving, or even understanding as they once were-myself included. Everyone is driven by money, rage, or sex. Two crazy things happened to me over the past two days, and I've only left my house about 4 times this week. So that means a lot to me. Apparently some people need more to survive per month than my annual salary. I have never been married, but I think that some women take this alimony thing way too seriously. I am all for being able to make sure you maintain your necessities in life; if your husband wanted you to be a homemaker, therefore you didn't work and now you guys are divorcing. Where did Thanksgiving go?

Its November, right? Last time I checked after Halloween there was Thanksgiving and then came Christmas. So unless there was some mass destruction of Thanksgiving (which for some is only a celebration of a mass genocide of people who only welcomed the pilgrims) that I don't know about I'd appreciate if we could get back to the holiday about giving thanks. It's been a super long week and I haven't written in forever. I can't believe the election is in the next few days. Wow. You know it really ticks me off when people come into my job and they want a specific person and only that person. We tell them this person is unavailable at the current moment and give them alternatives-do you want to see someone else or wait or even come back later. Now if you choose to wait, I will tell you I can't guarantee how long you will be waiting for. Do NOT agree to wait and then pester the first person who walks past to with your problems. I can't pretend I've been living under a rock for the past several weeks when in fact I have been quite tuned in to the mockery that has become of American Politics within the Republican Party. I intently followed the Democratic convention and was quite impressed with the speeches I either watched or read online. From Michelle Obama's introduction of her husband to Hilary Clinton's vow of "No way, no how, No McCain," and Obama's speech to end the convention. Are books a dying breed?

I had an interesting discussion the other night about audiobooks, e-books, and regular old books. It seems to be that audiobooks are on the rise and books are on the decline. For me, part of the joy of reading comes from flipping the pages of the book and slipping into a world that isn't my own. I don't see the joy in listening to someone read to you. Usually, when someone talks to me for an extended period of time I tune them out. I only have a listening period of so long before my thoughts take over and I don't know what they said. I always knew i was attached to my devices. My cellphone, computer, ipod or anything else that was small and portable. Needless to say I felt completely disconnected from the world when my laptop was on the fritz for a few weeks a couple of months ago. Sure internet can be accessed via cell phones, work computers or even using my roommates computer. But everything ceases when your own personal computer is gone, or at least for me it did. The Return of TV!!

I don't know about everyone else, but this summer kind of sucked in regards to TV. I looked forward to TNTs "The Closer" for so long that when it finally premiered I had over hyped it to myself. But someone reminded me that last night was the season Premiere of the CW's Gossip Girl, which I feel in love with last year during the writers strike. Spin Class My Ass

So in my world, Thursdays have recently become "Spin Class Thursday." So every week no matter how tired I am and I drag my ass to the 6:45 pm Spin Class at my gym. Now, I've been doing this class for about 3 weeks, so its fairly new, but its pretty cool. However, if anyone has taken a spin class they have realized that this bike hurts your ass. Not in a "Oh my god! we worked our glutes hard today," kinda way, but in a "Damn, my ass is sore kinda way."
